Short Term Access to Treatment (e.g. 1-14 days)
If you are ill while away from home or if you are not registered with a doctor but need to see one you can receive emergency treatment by contacting NHS111 by calling 111.
This is the fastest way to access care short term.
If you are registered elsewhere then it is worth contacting your own GP even if they are far away as they may be able to help you over the phone or send a prescription to a local pharmacy electronically.
If neither of these options are appropriate please speak to reception to discuss registering with us on a short term basis. Please note that if you do register with us on a short term temporary basis then it will be for emergency treatment only.
- Deal with new or urgent issues
- Do urgent referrals
We will not:
- Do routine referrals
- Deal with long term issues
- Provide routine prescriptions
- Provide routine screening such as smears
Medium Term Access to Treatment (e.g. 15 days-3 months)
You can be registered as a temporary patient for up to three months. This will allow you to be on the local practice list and still remain a patient of your permanent GP. After three months you will have to re-register as a temporary patient or permanently register with the practice.
Please speak to reception to discuss registering with us on a medium term basis.
